Old-Fashioned Sprouted Buckwheat Pancakes


PureLiving Old-Fashioned Sprouted Buckwheat Pancakes
Makes about 9 pancakes



3/4 cup of PureLiving Sprouted Buckwheat Flour
3/4 cup of PureLiving Sprouted Hard Wheat Flour (alternative: PureLiving Sprouted Spelt Flour)
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. Shiloh Farms Pink Himalayan Salt, Fine Sift
1 Tbsp. Shiloh Farms Maple Sugar,  or sweetener of choice
1 cup milk of choice
1 egg
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)



1. In a large bowl, sift together the flours, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla.

2. Heat a lightly oiled gridle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake. Cook 2-3 minutes, or until bottoms are golden and small bubbles start to form on top; flip and cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until other side is browned. 

3. Top with fresh fruit, yogurt, or maple syrup and enjoy; makes about 9 pancakes.
