Potatoes have been a staple food in our diets for many gererations. These flakes are made from organic potato's without the skins. They are so versatile and delicious, besides being convenient to use. No animal, dairy residue or any additives are used to make the flakes. (Only monoglycerides and diglycerides from Vegetable Organic Palm Oil are used. (The function of monoglycerides and diglycerides is Antifoaming, emulsifier, stabilizer, and Thickener.)) Due to restrictions on additives that are allowed in organic flakes, the color of the organic reconstituted flakes can have a slightly grayish color.
TO PREPARE: Mix 3/4 cups water and 1 tablespoon butter in pan bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup cold milk. Stir in 3/4 cup flakes. For creamier potatoes, add more liquid. Makes 2 servings. For thicker mashed potatoe's use less liquid.
Adjusting Recipes for High Altitudes: This might not surprise you but unfortunately there isn’t a magical formula on how to adjust recipes for high altitudes. There are just too many variables depending on your exact altitude, recipe, humidity, etc. The higher you are the lower the temperature at which the water boils and evaporatiion happens faster.
Suggestions: Potato Flakes are very verstile and can be used in many recipes. Have fun and create your favorite recipe.

Ingredients: Organic Potatoes (mono- and diglycerides from organic palm oil)
Mono- and diglycerides, naturally derived fatty acids, are used as an emulsifier to prevent potato flakes from being scorched during production. Potato flakes cannot be produced without the mono- and diglyercides. Shiloh Farms Potato Flakes use just .3% - .7% of mono- and diglycerides in their production.

I bought a small bag from my local grocery store to taste. It was great compared to the other brands that I had tried. I do long term food storage but was at wits end to find high quality potatoes to store in my #10 cans which were #1 ORGANIC, #2 Could buy in bulk and #3 Had a good taste. My problem has been solved. Delivery was very good also.

We've looked for reasonably priced organic instant potatoes ever since Walnut Acres sold their business, and haven't found anything but expensive, flavored potatoes. The Shiloh Farms potatoes smell good, taste good, and are reasonable priced for the 10 lb. bag. Thanks!

My son has asthma and allergies so his food choices are limited. These potato flakes have no preservatives. He eats a lot of potatoes and I wanted the healthiest instant potato flakes. Store bought potato flakes all have preservatives and do not taste as good as these do. He loves them! Thank you Shiloh Farms!
