Scripture Cake (revised recipe)

1/2 cup Butter
3/4 cup Molasses
2 cups Shiloh Farms Flour (your choice or mixed)
1/2 tsp. baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Cloves
1/8 tsp. Ginger
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Buttermilk
1/3 cup Honey
1 cup Shiloh Farms Raisins
1 cup Shiloh Farms Black Mission Figs, chopped
1/2 cup Shiloh Farms Almonds, chopped
1/2 cup Orange Juice

Directions:    Preheat Oven to 325 degrees
Cream butter until light; add molasses.  Combine dry ingredients.  Wisk Eggs, buttermilk and honey together.  Add egg mixture and dry mixture alternately to creamed butter and molasses. Stir in raisins, figs and almonds. Turn into an oiled loaf pan. Bake for 40 minutes.  Loosely cover with foil and bake 40 minutes more. Cool about 10 minutes in pan, then removed.  Brush all sides with Orange juice.  Wrap and store about 2 days in refrigerator before serving.
