Turkey & Ricotta Cheese Burgers

Turkey Burgers with Organic Ricotta Goat Cheese & Pepper Jam

Turkey Ricotta Cheese Burgers
Yields 4 servings

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey
4 oz. whole milk ricotta
1 small carrot, grated

2 Tbsp. minced onion
2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped

1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
½ tsp. Shiloh Farms Himalayan Pink Salt

¼ tsp. ground black pepper
4 whole grain hamburger buns
Pepper Jam Spread (recipe below)
Lettuce, tomato, sliced onion, or toppings of choice

Directions:

1. In large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine first 8 ingredients (through black pepper)
2. Using slightly dampened hands, form mixture into 4 evenly sized burger patties; place patties in refrigerator to chill while heating grill or skillet
3. Grilling method: place patties on preheated medium-hot grill; cook 4-5 minutes, then flip and continue cooking an additional 4-5 minutes, or until completeley cooked through
Tip: Turkey burgers will stick easily. If using grill, make sure grates are clean and well-oiled.
4. Skillet/broiler method: brush each patty lightly with vegetable oil; place in preheated skillet (or under preheated broiler) and cook 4-5 minutes per side
5. Assemble burgers with Whole Grain buns, Pepper Jam spread, and other desired toppings

Pepper Jam Spread: Mix 4 Tbsp. mayonaisse or yogurt with 4 Tbsp. hot pepper jam
