Mock Chocolate Pie

Ingrediets:
3 Egg yolks
2 cups whole Milk
1/2 cup Maple Syrup
Pinch of Sea Salt
4 Tbsp. Arrowroot powder or Cornstarch
4 Tbsp. SHILOH FARMS CAROB POWDER
2 Tbsp. Shiloh Farms Date sugar
1 Tbsp. Butter
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions: 
In large saucepan, beat egg yolks. Add milk - reserving 1/2 cup. Stir in maple syrup and salt. In a separate bowl, combine powders and date sugar. Mix well to break up any lumps. Add reserved milk to make a smooth paste. Add to milk and eggs, stirring continually. Cook over medium heat until mixture is thick. If too thick, add a little milk. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter. Mix well. Pour into pie shell and chill. Serve with whipped cream.
