Fresh Bee Pollen

 Product Description

Super Smoothies

Courtesy of our friend the industrious little honeybee comes one of nature's most complete foods - SHILOH FARMS Fresh Bee Pollen! Harvested each spring in Chester County, PA, this bright, sweet pollen is frozen at the peak of freshness (in fact, the same day it is collected!) for maximum nutritionLow moisture (about 4%) and multi-floral (main floral sources include dandelion, wild mustard, black locust, and clover blossoms), our bee pollen has not been heated or dried in any way and is always kept in cold storage. This means that SHILOH FARMS Fresh Bee Pollen is a completely raw product, a living food with all of its naturally-occurring enzymes intact.

What is Bee Pollen:
As honeybees return from a day of foraging, their legs are covered in pollen from the many flowers they've visited. This pollen is chock full of live enzymes, amino acids (about half of pollen's protein is in the form of free amino acids), and other nutrients thought to have a wide range of health benefits, including allergy relief, increased stamina, and general wellness. By using a pollen trap, our beekeepers are able to harvest this pollen, then freeze it the same day it is collected to maintain its nutritional content.

How to Use Bee Pollen:
Each golden granule is densely packed with live enzymes. Your digestive system may not be accustomed to such intensely rich food, so we recommend introducing bee pollen into your diet slowly.
First, test for a possible allergic reaction by ingesting just one pellet; then gradually begin adding small amounts of bee pollen to smoothies, cereal, and other cold dishes, until you are consuming about 2 Tbsp. daily.

1. Don't cook with the granules or add powdered granules to anything that requires heat. Heat destroys the live enzymes and reduces the nutrient value.
2. Powder an ounce or two of granules and add cinnamon to taste. Cinnamon adds a delightful spiciness and aroma to the sweetness of pollen.
3. Stir powdered granules into smoothies, protein shakes, juices, or even into water sweetened with raw honey.
4. Add the granules to salad dressings, ketchup, or other sauces.
5. Sprinkle whole granules on toast topped with honey or almond butter.
6. Sprinkle over your cereal, yogurt, or ice cream.

Storage: SHILOH FARMS Fresh Bee Pollen is frozen the day it is collected for peak freshness. For best results, keep refrigerated (for immediate use) or frozen (up to 2 years).

This product is naturally gluten free; however, we do not test or certify this product at this time. If gluten free, please use your own discretion in determining whether this product is safe for your consumption.

  1. Great health benefits and tasty too!

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Sep 2021

I put this on my morning medley of oats, flax and hemp seeds. It adds great flavor, with so many immune boosting benefits loaded with micronutrients too.

  2. Allergy relief

Posted by Jeri on 17th Apr 2019

Have used for years for allergy relief. Very effective. Gave to my nephew who lived in a heavily forested area. He liked so much he kept using after he moved from that house.

However- it was much more expensive this time. The overpacking in a huge box- not necessary . Wondering if that was extra cost.
I ship all the time. Box could have been 1/4 of Size.
Also had hard time finding on web, took me days.
