Almond Flour

 Product Description

Almond Flour Pancakes
Blueberry Banana Streusel Muffins
Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies

Milled from all natural whole almonds, SHILOH FARMS Almond Flour produces cakes, cookies, and other baked goods that are light, moist, and tender. With a more traditional flavor than many other nut-based flours, this versatile and easy-to-use flour is a popular, low carb substitute for regular flour, especially in grain-free and gluten-free baking. It can also be added to regular baked goods for a healthy boost of protein, fiber, and other nutrients!

Exceptionally nutrient-dense, just ¼ cup of almonds each day provides significant amounts of high-quality protein and fiber, as well as a wide variety of vitamins and minerals. Almonds are especially rich in Vitamin E, manganese, magnesium, and B Vitamins, and are also a good source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids.

Native to the Mediterranean region of the Middle East, almonds are not technically nuts. Rather, they are the seeds of the almond tree.

Usage: Depending on the recipe, almond flour can be substituted for anywhere from 25% to 100% of the total flour required. If not using a recipe specifically developed for almond flour, we recommend initial substitution of 25%, gradually increasing the amount of almond flour until the desired result is reached. Because it has higher fat than traditional grain-based flours and contains no gluten, using almond flour may require adjusting other ingredients in the recipe as well.

With its nutty, slightly sweet flavor, almond flour works especially well in cakes, cookies, brownies, and quickbreads.
2. When making pizza dough, pie crusts, breads, and pasta, combine with tapicoa flour (or your choice of gluten flour) to obtain a more traditional texture.
3. Stir into smoothies or shakes for a boost of protein and fiber.
4. Make a coating for chicken, fish, or vegetables.
5. Use as a binder in meatloaf, burgers, or meatballs.

Storage: Because of its high fat content, refrigeration or freezing is recommended. For best results, allow to come to room temperature before use.

  1. Good Flour - Bad Packaging

Posted by Unknown on 25th Sep 2019

The reseal strip was not sealed, when the product arrived. Thus, the flour filled the reseal strip, making it ineffective. Multiple efforts to clean the strip have been only partially successful. A stitch on time saves nine. However, the Shiloh Farms Almond Flour was wonderful to use!

  2. Almond Flour Power

Posted by Unknown on 21st Feb 2019

I use almond flour to mix with gluten free flours. It adds a nutty taste and extra protein. It's wonderful to put in homemade pancake batter and other things you bake, like muffins or cookies. A delicious powerful product.

  3. Great Versatile "Flour"

Posted by Matthew on 11th Jun 2013

Though it's more of a meal than a flour, this is the first product I was able to use to successfully make bread/buns after first being diagnosed with Crohn's. It has a rich nutty flavor and also makes for a great crust on chicken and fish.

  4. baking with Almond Flour

Posted by Unknown on 20th Apr 2013

My family cannot eat as much wheat as we used to but we miss muffins and bread. So we are learning to bake with Almond flour and loving the results.

Yours is a very high quality and though more expensive than wheat, if you can no longer eat wheat the comparison is irrelevant.

  5. Excellent quality almond flour.

Tastes great. I only wish it was made from organic, soaked or sprouted almonds.
