Product Description
A great addition to any healthy lifestyle, SHILOH FARMS Psyllium Husk is pure dietary fiber - no corn or preservatives added! Psyllium contains approximately 70% soluble and 30% insoluble fiber.
Psyllium husk acts as a sponge in the intestinal tract, swelling as it absorbs water and waste material and forming a soft bulky mass that passes through the colon quickly and smoothly.
Directions: To use as a laxative, stir 1-2 Tbsp. psyllium into 8 oz of water or juice. Mix briskly for a few seconds and drink immediately (psyllium is exceptionally absorbent and will thicken liquid quickly). For best results, take approximately one hour before or one hour after meals.
Because of psyllium's unique properties, it is important to drink at least 8 oz of water with each serving. You may want to start with a small amount and increase over time as your body acclimates to psyllium's effects.
Suggestions:
1. Blend into smoothies for an extra boost of fiber. Remember that psyllium will thicken whatever it is added to, so use plenty of liquid.
2. Add a small amount to soups or sauces to thicken.
3. Psyllium can be used to bind baked goods in place of eggs or xanthan gum.

Works without additives

The Shiloh Farms Psyllium Husk is consistent quality and doesn’t have the additives others have for flavor or sweetness. Granted the taste is quite bland, but that’s fine with me to avoid the unnecessary stuff. Since it is so consistent, I know I’ll have the same mix every time with water. Best of all it works and I haven’t had a diverticulitis problem since.

The fine texture of the Shiloh Farms Psyllium Husk makes it easy to take with just water or mix into smoothies and other foods/beverages.

Of the similar products I've used from other companies, Shiloh Farms is the best. Please don't change it and keep up the good work.
Also, setting up my purchase with Beth was an absolute joy, I can't thank her enough. My best to your whole team. With the high percentage senior market here you folks would do well if you were ever to decide to expand in this direction.
