They are so versatile and delicious, besides being convenient to use. No animal, dairy residue or any additives are used to make the flakes. (Only monoglycerides and diglycerides from Vegetable Organic Palm Oil are used. (The function of monoglycerides and diglycerides is Antifoaming, emulsifier, stabilizer, and Thickener.)) Due to restrictions on additives that are allowed in organic flakes, the color of the organic reconstituted flakes can have a slightly grayish color.
TO PREPARE: Mix 3/4 cups water and 1 tablespoon butter in pan bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup cold milk. Stir in 3/4 cup flakes. For creamier potatoes, add more liquid. Makes 2 servings. For thicker mashed potatoe's use less liquid.
Adjusting Recipes for High Altitudes: This might not surprise you but unfortunately there isn’t a magical formula on how to adjust recipes for high altitudes. There are just too many variables depending on your exact altitude, recipe, humidity, etc. The higher you are the lower the temperature at which the water boils and evaporatiion happens faster.
