Our choice Organic whole oats are steamed and rolled into Wholesome Old Fashioned Rolled Oat Flakes. Rolled oats are very versatile and may be used to add a pleasant texture and a mild, nutty flavor to many recipes.
To Cook as a Cereal: Boil 2 parts of water, stir in 1 part of rolled oats, cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Serve with your favorite topping.
Suggestions:
1. Add raisins or diced dried fruits to the oats as they are cooking (about the last 3 to 5 minutes of cooking time), or add a twist of Cinnamon and chopped nuts.
2. Substitute 1/2 cup rolled oats for flour in quick breads. Replace up to half of the flour in pancakes with rolled oats
3. Use rolled oats instead of bread crumbs in casseroles or as toppings
4. Use for a delightful topping for pies and fruit crisps
5. Use in making delicious granolas
