Wheat Germ is about 2 to 3 % of the whole Wheat berry. It is nutritionally the richest part of the wheat berry. It is the most nutritionally dense part of the wheat kernel, containing protein, generopus amounts of B-viatmin complexes, dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals.
Because of its high natural oil content, refrigeration is required soon after purchasing to maintain freshness.

Suggestions:
1. Sprinkle Wheat Germ on any cereal or eat as a cold cereal, topped with fruits or nuts.
2. Mix equal parts of wheat germ with cornmeal for a tasty breading.
3. Use Wheat Germ as a topping on casseroles or pies.
4. Wheat Germ is an excellent substitute for bread crumbs.
5. Substitute up to 25% of the flour with wheat germ in your recipes for pancakes, muffins, cookies or even cakes. It adds a rich nutty flavor.
6. Add a Tbsp. of wheat germ to high protein milk or fruit shakes.
7. Sprinkle wheat germ over yogurt.
8. For a unique coating on baked chicken or chops, dip meat in beaten egg, milk or water. Then roll in a mixture of equal amounts of corn meal and wheat germ until well coated.
9. Substitute wheat germ for bread crumbs in burgers, meatloaf and meatballs.
